Boucan restaurant identity by Ogaf Studio

Ogaf Studio designed the visual identity for Boucan, a neo-brasserie and festive bar located in Nantes, France. Conceived as a lively, generous and welcoming place, Boucan goes far beyond a simple neighborhood bistro. It offers an experience where people come together to enjoy hearty food as much as to toast, laugh and dance.

In collaboration with Mono Architecte, Ogaf Studio created a graphic identity that visually captures the spirit of the venue. Modern, unpretentious, boldly festive and deeply convivial. The project revisits the traditional codes of the brasserie by blending visual heritage with contemporary design, resulting in a rich, pop and colorful graphic universe.

The branding and logo, developed in multiple variations, reflect the many facets of Boucan, while bold graphic choices and expressive, sometimes playful typography bring energy and personality to the brand. The visual identity unfolds across a wide range of bespoke applications, from the website to steel plate prints and custom patterns for the wooden bar, supporting every moment of the venue, from daytime dining to nights when the counter turns into a dance floor.

This work is complemented by an art direction for photography and film, developed with a team of photographers, videographers and developers, allowing Boucan’s communication to fully express itself across all channels.
